Chapel on the Boulevard is the new home of the congregation formerly known as Citywide Christian Assembly.  After outgrowing our building in Hillcrest in the north eastern side of Adelaide, we moved to Hendon in the north western sector, in August 2007.  Here we have recently launched our new Sunday morning format consisting of two main services -  the Chapel Hour including Sonseekers and Communion service. (Click for details

The Lord is My Refuge

When we are right in the middle of deep grief or depression, it is very hard to know what is real.  Is everything really as dark and confused as we feel it is?  Is God angry with us or does He even care?  Are we without hope?  These can be very real concerns, and grief or depression can leave us confused and overwhelmed.

When we read the book of Psalms we find that David was no stranger to these emotions.  For example, in Psalm 142 he said, ‘I poured out my prayer before Him; I declared my trouble before Him.

What Did You Expect?

I recently heard a man testify to God’s faithfulness, and something he said impressed me.  He said, ‘I went to gather blackberries, so I took along a kerosene tin’.  He expected to get some black berries - not just a few but a kerosene tin full!

When we ask God for anything, let us expect an answer - and even more than we asked for - because He is more willing to give than we are to receive. read more
