Have you ever searched for something in your life, and did not quite know what it was you were looking for? You knew that within you was an emptiness and dissatisfaction – life just did not add up. But you could not put your finger on it.
Then someone, or something, alerted you to the possibilities that there was more to life than what we see and feel in this modern world. Suddenly, you came alive in the Lord Jesus Christ and you joyfully and willingly responded. Here was your answer! You became hopeful and so full of faith. Your expectations were boundless.
You found a niche in a church that promised much, but then slowly but surely your expectations were dimmed and the ache started up in your heart again. Maybe at this point you would try another church but slowly and sadly you drifted away from your faith and gave up, although you still leaned toward the Lord. You now find yourself in a sort of no-man’s land. Not quite fitting in with the world and it’s ways, but feeling alienated from your faith and alienated from the world.
Has Jesus changed? A most definite ‘NO!’ His desire is still towards you. He yearns to reach you and light that flame again in your heart. Only, this time not in a place of disappointed expectations, but in a place of His realities, not our own. He does want to be real to us and to bring real healing in our lives.
Personally, I have found great satisfaction in the fellowship of this part of the Body of Christ. I have found and embraced the reality of who I am and where I am going, along with the other members. Believe me when I say, God is still searching for His sheep and wants to bring fresh hope to your life – a life of substance. Won’t you join Him and be with like-minded people who love Him? You will never be alone again.
Scripture verses
John 6:37 ‘All that the Father gives Me will come to Me, and the one who comes to Me I will by no means cast out’.
Matt. 11:28-30 ‘Come to Me, all you who labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls’.
